After reading your take on "The American".....I've decided I am in favor of abortion in cases of incest. 

You actually stated that you agreed that the crappy movie was in fact "slow and boring".  So how can you possibly state that something that is "slow and boring" can be "clever and tense".  That's like watching a race between a turtle and snail and get an ulcer because of the climatic finish line photo results.  To that, I say "Good day to you sir".
