The Last Song -- Miley Cyrus, Greg Kinnear, Liam Hemsworth. Rated PG.

A rebellious teenager (Cyrus) falls in love with a local (Hemsworth) and finds herself when she visits her distant father (Kinnear) for the summer. The story has more depth than some may expect, but it’s also a bit labored and Cyrus isn’t experienced enough to be effective in this role. Based on a novel by Nicholas Sparks (“The Notebook”). It's not terrible, but Skip It.
