The movie: More than 100 hours of rehearsal footage (shot from March through June 2009) for Jackson’s “This Is It” concerts is broken down into a 112-minute movie in the last original work we’re going to see from the King of Pop. Director Kenny Ortega includes all the hits you’ll expect, and the film is an upbeat reminder of Jackson’s exceptional talent, showmanship, and creativity. It's also a great way to remember the King of Pop, so Buy It.

Whip It
Starring: Ellen Page, Kristen Wiig, Drew Barrymore. Rated PG-13.
The movie: With a mother (Marcia Gay Harden) who wants her to be a beauty queen, teen misfit Bliss Cavendar (Page, “Juno”) finds her true calling and new friends (Wiig, Barrymore) in the dangerous and exciting sport of roller derby. It’s painfully predictable, but first-time director Barrymore finds a way to make it work in terms of humor, action and drama. This is the perfect choice for a girl’s night out (or in, on video). Rent It.
