Is it worth $10? No

In 1965 Rome, a director (Daniel Day-Lewis) struggles with pre-production on his next film, so he seeks inspiration from the women in his life in this adaptation of the Broadway musical, which itself was inspired by Federico Fellini's "8 1/2." Each big-name star (Marion Cotillard, Penelope Cruz, Kate Hudson, Nicole Kidman, Fergie, even Dame Judi Dench!) gets at least one number all to herself, and most succeed admirably. If the intention were for this to be a series of music videos, then job well done. But director Rob Marshall (“Chicago”) never finds a thread to bring all the disparate story lines together, and as a result the movie as a whole is a cluttered, unfocused mess. It's fun to watch at times, sure, but most of the time poor story structure trumps great eye candy.
